“Setting an Extra Place at the Table”
In the Jewish tradition of Abraham and Sarah welcoming guests in their home, Jews have been placing extra seats at Seder tables for generations. At Beth Shalom we always have room for more seats at the table. Whether it is a seat for Kiddush lunch, a sanctuary pew to say Kaddish, a comfortable sofa in the youth lounge for Jewish teens, or a tiny chair in the Alefbet Preschool, everyone is welcome to join and take their place at the table.
As you know, these “places” are funded by the shul budget. Beth Shalom is proud to offer our members a spiritual home to celebrate Jewish holidays, lifecycle events and lifelong education. Please consider supporting Beth Shalom with a donation to the Matz-Appeal. This campaign comes at a midway point in our fiscal year and gives the budget a much-needed boost.

As we prepare for our Seder, we humbly remember that we were once strangers in a strange land and someone pulled up an extra seat for us.
